Thousands of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are set to benefit from a new £1.7 million government pilot bringing assistive technology into classrooms across up to 4,000 schools. Through lending libraries in 32 local authorities, schools will be able to trial tools like reading pens, speech-to-text software, and communication tablets, helping pupils with conditions such as dyslexia, autism, and ADHD to thrive and learn more independently.
